"I wonder what it's like to live in a world where it's always June." L.M. Montgomery
Hello Muses! I love this quote by L.M. Montgomery from the Anne in Green Gables series because June really is a lovely time of year. It's a midpoint - a point where we look at where we've come from the beginning of the year to what we want to do this summer, to what we hope we can do before the year ends. In California, at least, June is a mixture of near-perfect days, sweltering days, and gloomy ones. To me, this dress is like that. It features a really unique novelty print with almost-holiday-like deer on it wearing button up long-sleeved shirts with leaves on it. To me, it looks like it has a pussy bow at the neck but who knows that could be also be a bow tie! Though it's more of a wintery print, the fact that it has lovely pastel colors (an all pink background) and no sleeves suggests that I can wear this all year! (And I will, haha) I love the keyhole and my very own bow at the neckline.
For any Fall Out Boy fans out there, this totally reminds me of their video for Sugar We're Goin' Down. Probably because the girl's boyfriend has deer antlers and her dad hates his guts. If you haven't seen the video I'd youtube it and watch it through for its great ending, and if you have seen it, I'd watch it again for some good nostalgia.
These lovely photos were taken by my best blogger friend, Brianna, of DesignbyBrianna! Yes, I'm wearing those booties again and you'll definitely see them a lot!
Thank you so much for reading!
